State House says Vice President Kashim Shettima will mark his 60th birthday on September 2, 2026 with a low-key celebration.
In a release, he appealed to friends and well-wishers not to place congratulatory adverts in newspapers or on radio, TV and digital platforms.
The Vice President said there should be no public gatherings or goodwill messages to maintain propriety. Instead, he asked Nigerians to offer prayers for the country and for President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
VP Shettima called for prayers for the success of economic reforms, improved security, national unity, and peace and prosperity. He said the day should be a time for reflection and renewed commitment to serving Nigeria, not personal celebration.
