Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has called on Nigerians to support efforts by the Federal Government and governments at other levels to address the nation’s challenges and improve the lives of citizens.
Governor Alia made the call in a goodwill message marking Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary.
He urged Nigerians to remain united, peaceful and committed to responsible citizenship, while offering constructive suggestions for improved governance.
The Governor said the anniversary provides an opportunity to reflect on Nigeria’s journey, celebrate the resilience of its people and reaffirm the ideals of freedom, unity and national development.
Alia stressed that independence goes beyond political freedom, noting that citizens also have a responsibility to participate in governance and contribute to the development of their communities.
He thanked the people of Benue State for their support, prayers and confidence in his administration, particularly during challenging times.
Governor Alia wished Nigerians a peaceful 66th Independence Anniversary, praying for continued unity, peace, prosperity and shared progress.
