Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Housing Development, Henry Archibong, says the government is advancing housing development through land acquisition and urban infrastructure initiatives, including the Renewed Hope Estates across the state.
The commissioner stated this during an interaction with the media in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
As part of efforts to bridge the housing deficit in Akwa Ibom State, Commissioner for Housing Development, Henry Archibong, says the administration has initiated several programmes and approved compensation for land acquired for major public projects.
The commissioner said the compensation is aimed at properly addressing land acquisition for public infrastructure while creating room for housing and other critical facilities.
He pointed out that the Renewed Hope Estates form part of broader efforts to support structured housing development and orderly urban growth across the state.
Archibong said the housing initiative is also expected to contribute to the state’s urban development programme while providing more organised housing opportunities for residents.
The government says the initiatives are part of its broader infrastructure and urban development programme aimed at expanding housing opportunities across Akwa Ibom.
