Players and officials of Crown FC of Ogbomoso have been involved in a serious road accident along the Ibadan-Ijebu Ode Road.
The incident occurred around CRIN when the team’s bus reportedly rammed into a badly parked articulated lorry while trying to avoid a head-on collision with an oncoming vehicle.
The team was said to be heading to Ijebu Ode for a training camp ahead of the new Nigeria National League season, scheduled to kick off at the end of the month.
The bus driver was said to have been seriously injured and is currently in the intensive care unit of an undisclosed hospital, while the team’s nurse and another member of the medical staff sustained varying degrees of injury.

Confirming the incident, the team’s Technical Adviser, Fatai Akande, described the accident as avoidable, blaming it on human error.
