President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan has described former Nigeria’s President Olusegun Obasanjo as a true patriot, pan-Africanist and global figure who has made great contributions to the political development of Nigeria and the emancipation of Africa as he marks his 85th birthday.
In a statement released by his special adviser on media,
Lawan says former President Obasanjo even as an elder statesman, remains a consistent protagonist of the Nigerian project, Who continues to push for Nigeria to realise her huge potentials as a great nation.
He added that Obasanjo’s name is linked to some of the greatest events and developments in the Nigerian history.

Lawan joins his family members, friends, well-wishers and Nigerians in celebrating and rejoicing with the Ogun State Born Nigerian Leader as he crosses the milestone of 85 years in good health and wish him many more years of continued service to his beloved Nigeria and Africa, and to the cause of peace all over the world.
