Electricity Distribution Companies in Nigeria have placed notices to consumers informing them of multiple system collapse between Monday and Tuesday leading to total black out.
ait.live learnt that 19 out of the 25 active GenCos on the grid, were producing power as of 6am Monday when the grid had 3,867.60MW but that began to reduce gradually until it dropped to 2,761.20MW by 10am after six GenCos went down, leaving just 13 GenCos. At least 1,100MW was lost from the 3867MW peak generation when the five GenCos shut down.

Discos like the Abuja Distribution Company, Jos and Ibadan as well as Ikeja informed their customers via their social media handles of the situation promising to restore supply as soon as the grid was restored.
For days key players have been pointing accusing fingers at one another for being responsible for the low generation and with what is on going, Nigerians have been forced to live in darkness.
