Ahead of the 2023 General Elections, and to ensure a safer and peaceful Katsina State, the government says it has concluded plans to take off from the streets, political thugs, repented drug addicts and social miscreants called ‘Kauraye,’ and enrol them into Quranic Schools.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Matters, Ibrahim Katsina, said this on the sideline of an event recently, held in the state.
According to Katsina, smoking them out and engaging them in Quranic Schools, will help to inculcate religious knowledge in them, thereby, solving their problems halfway, and bringing about a peaceful society.

He added that those whose conditions are not worse will be enrolled in schools, to obtain formal education, to curb illiteracy.
