The leadership of the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, in Plateau State, North-Central Nigeria says it has taken total control of the Labour Party, LP, and assured that the union will sponsor credible candidates who have the interest of workers in the 2023 general elections.
State NLC Chairman, Eugene Manji on Tuesday disclosed this while speaking to ait.live in Jos, the state capital. He insists that they are taking the party away from other aspirants in the State to give their candidates and workers the opportunity until they get victory.
Manji noted that the party was registered by the union to champion the welfare of workers in Nigeria, but some of the elected political officers after election, have refused to take the welfare and interest of workers into consideration.
