Natasha Uduaghan wins Kogi Central PDP primaries

Chief promoter of the resuscitation of Ajaokuta Steel Company, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has emerged winner of the Kogi Central senatorial primary election of the Peoples Democratic Party held in Okene, Kogi State

Returning officer, Muhammed Hassan, declared Natasha winner having polled a total of 159 votes out of the 173 accredited delegates to defeat her closest contender, Mahmud Attah who pulled 13 votes,

After rescheduling the election two times to enable the party address some logistic issues, a sigh of relief finally came, as delegates took turns to vote for their preferred candidate under a very calm atmosphere with very tight security arrangement.

Before the commencement of the election, two aspirants announced their withdrawal from the exercise over alleged irregularities.

After securing a total of 159 votes out of the 173 accredited voters, returning officer Muhammed Hassan declared Natasha Akpoti- Uduaghan winner of the election.

Natasha’s country home was already filled to capacity with jubilant crowd who joined her to celebrate the victory where Natasha said she will re-echo the revitalization issue of Ajaokuta steel complex

Natasha challenged the people to take voter registration and collection issues seriously as their victory in the general elections is largely dependent on their voter strength.

Banking on the support being enjoyed from the people across board, Natasha said the APC candidate will not recover in a hurry from the trauma of defeat that will be suffered by the APC come 2023
