Former Minister of Transportation and presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress APC, Chibuike Amaechi, has commended the National Assembly and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC for reducing rigging in the electioneering process, following their inputs in actualising the 2022 Electoral Act in the just concluded Ekiti State Governorship election.

Amaechi who stated this at the APC State Secretariat during a visit to the Rivers State capital, Port Harcourt, urged party faithful to work for the progress of the APC across board, stressing that he was open to reconciliatory moves with aggrieved members of the party.

Amaechi who was greeted on arrival at the Port Harcourt International Airport by a mammoth crowd, told his supporters to put the APC presidential primary election behind them and work for the victory of the party across board because there was more work to be done.

He assured party faithful that there was no cause for alarm as the APC will be on the ballot in the state.

When asked if he was open to thorough reconciliation with aggrieved members of the party which includes Senator Magnus Abe, his answer was a “yes yes”.

Other party leaders say the former Minister’s visit will re-energise members who felt downcast after the APC presidential primary election.

Amaechi appealed to the crowd of party members at the secretariat to be united as leaders so as to guarantee victory at the polls next year.
