In North-East Nigeria, the Eid-el Kabir prayers were observed peacefully as Governor Bala Mohammed enjoins the people to continue to pray for the peace of the state and Nigeria.
The Governor represented by his deputy, Baba Tela stated this shortly after observing the Eid prayer at the Bauchi Eid Ground. He enjoined the people to use the season to promote peace and unity irrespective of religious, tribal or political inclinations.

Secretary to the Adamawa State Government, Bashir Ahmad who was at the Yola Eid Ground to represent Governor Ahmadu Fintiri who is currently performing Hajj in Saudi Arabia, admonished the faithful to be Peace Ambassadors.
Shortly after leaving the Eid Ground, Ahmad led members of the State Executive Council to pay Sallah homage on the Lamido Adamawa, Dr. Barkindo Aliyu Mustafa where they presented the traditional kola nut.
Governor Abdullahi Sule who personally attended the Eid prayers in his hometown of Gudi in Akwanga Local Government Area has called on the Muslim community in Nasarawa State, North-Central Nigeria to ensure that they promote peace especially with the current security challenges the country is facing.
He urged Muslims to pray for leaders in the country as they require God’s wisdom and guidance to make good decisions as well as imbibe the good virtues, and service to humanity
