The leadership of the National Union of Electricity Employees(NUEE) has said no amount of threats will make them abandon their struggle for a better working condition in Nigeria’s power sector.
The leadership of the electricity workers made this known in Jos, the Plateau state capital at an interactive session with some members of the Union from the Northeastern.
The electricity workers lamented that the privatisation of the power sector in Nigeria has rather than improving the lives of citizens further made life difficult for them despite huge subvention from the Federal Government.

The workers also frowned at the poor working conditions in the sector, describing Power generation and distribution companies as modern day slave camps.
The union vowed to do all that it takes to liberate the power sector, hoping that a quick intervention will be made to avert another industrial action in the power sector.
