The South West leadership of the Peoples Democratic party has called for the resignation of the National Chairman , Iyorcha Ayu to give room for equal representation between the North and South in the party’s National working committee.
Oyo state Governor, Seyi Makinde speaking on behalf of the party leadership in southwest made the call at an interactive session with South west PDP stakeholders held in Ibadan.
The Peoples Democratic Party Presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar was in Ibadan , Oyo state capital to brainstorm with leaders of the Party in South west on how to win the 2023 general elections and unify the party .
Speaking on behalf of the southwest PDP leaders , Oyo state Governor SayI Makinde says if the party wants to unify Nigeria , it must start with its own house.

Governor Makinde further called for the resignation of the party’s National Chairman, Iyorcha Ayu.

And in response, the PDP Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar said Gov Seyi Makinde’s request is achieve able but however called for a unified party so as to win the coming 2023 general elections .
The Interactive session had in attendance members and party leaders of the PDP from the Southwestern states of Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ekiti , Lagos and Ondo.
