Suspected terrorists operating in the Batsari Local Government forest area have launched a house-to-house attack on the Bakiyawa community in Batagarawa Local Government Area of Katsina State, abducting about 50 persons, killing one and injuring 4 others.

A reliable source within the community who confirmed the incident said, the attack took place Wednesday night at about 11:pm when the residents had gone to sleep.

He added that the terrorists arrived in the community on about 40 motorcycles shooting sporadically, went from house to house, demanding money, and asking for the breadwinners of the families.

It was gathered that about 60 animals were also rustled, while the terrorists faced no resistance, operating freely for about 3 hours.
