2023: NUJ assures political parties, candidates of balanced reportage

NUJ receives Cross River APC Governorship Candidate

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has assured all political parties and their candidates of balanced reportage and equal access to media facilities, as the political campaign gets underway, ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Chairman of NUJ in Cross River State, Comrade Gill Nsa Stated this in Calabar, when he received the Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC at the Ernest Etim Bassey Press Centre.

Nsa said journalists in the state will provide a level playing field, saying so far, the PDP and its candidate, SDP and its Candidate and the ADC have all visited the Media Centre, assuring that the facilities at the NUJ are for all Political parties irrespective of their sizes.

Speaking earlier, the Governorship candidate of APC in Cross River State, Senator Bassey Otu said media partnership is important for any Democratic growth to be achieved through information dissemination.

The NUJ called on all the practitioners to stick to the ethics of the profession and not to be politically biased in their reportage.
