Presidential standard bearer of the Labour Party(LP) in the 2023 presidential election Peter Obi has decried the state of affairs in Nigeria sixty two years after self governance.
Obi expressed his feelings in Ibadan, thursday during a call on Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state where both leaders reflected on issues of national interest.

Speaking to Journalists after the closed door meeting, Obi said he was in Ibadan to discuss on the way forward for the country.
Peter Obi acknowledged the progress made so far in the last 62 years after independence but insisted that a lot more still need to be done to take Nigeria out of the present challenges.
The Labour Party Presidential candidate also called on political leaders to build structure aimed at alleviating the suffering of the masses rather than dwelling on sentiments that would not drive development.
