The Ekiti state police command has assured residents of the state of improved security, warning those with criminal intents to leave the state.
The call was made on Tuesday in Ado Ekiti by the state police public relations officer Sunday Abutu while parading some suspected criminals arrested in the state.
Among those paraded is thirty three years old Opeyemi Adeniji accused of stealing church offering.
Opeyemi was once a security operative at the Joseph Ayo Babalola Mountain church, Ikeji Arakeji.
According to the Police, after his resignation in March 2022, he hatched a plan to steal from the church’s vault and
successfully made away with the sum of six hundred thousand, one hundred and Fifteen naira (600, 115 naira)
But the suspect ran out of luck when he was arrested along ogotun road.

The Police public relations officer in Ekiti state Sunday Abutu, who paraded Opeyemi alongside other criminal suspects appealed to residents to provide the police with useful information that could assist in the discharge of their responsibilities.
He said Opeyemi and other suspects will soon be arraigned in court.
