Balarabe who explained that the command has made adequate preparations towards peaceful conduct of all political campaigns and 2023 General elections across the state, pointed out that this can only be achieved with the support of the media.

He assured Journalists that under his watch, non of them will be treated unjustly, advising that they should uphold the ethic of Journalism as policing in line with international best practices, rule of law, and respect for fundamental human rights will be the command watchword.

Earlier in his remarks, the State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists Comrade Nsa Gill, welcomed the newly posted Police Commissioner, assuring him of the mutual working relationship.

Nsa explained that the partnership is a win-win situation as Journalists will help to propagate the good work of the police while pointing out some areas that need to improve.
