President Muhammadu Buhari has nominated his Special Assistant on New Media as Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission, (NDDC), Lauretta Onochie.
In a letter to the Senate, read during plenary on Wednesday by the President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan, President Muhammadu Buhari wants the upper chamber to confirm the appointment of Lauretta Onochie, alongside 14 other nominees, as substantive chairman and members of the NDDC board.
The nominees include:
- Laureta Ifeanyi Onochie (Delta State, South-South) Chairman
- Dimgba Erugba (State representative Abia, South East)
- Dr Ene Wilcox Wils ( Akwa Ibom, State Representative, South-South )
- Elder Senator Gimafa
- OnoDuke – state representative (Cross Rivers; South-south
- Dr Pius Odudu state representative (Edo, South-South)
- Hon.Gbenga Edegba (South West, Ondo)
- Engr. Anthony Ekene – state representative (South East, Imo State)
- Ekekwachi Dimgba ( Rivers State; South-South)
- Alhaji Mohammed Kabiru Abubakar (Zonal Representative, Nasarawa Northcentral )
- Professor Tallen Mamma, SAN (North East Representative, Adamawa)
- Sadique Sani (North West, Zonal Representative Kebbi State )
