Kebbi State Governor, Atiku Bagudu has restated his commitment to ensure that security is restored across the north-western state for people to return to their pre-security challenges days of bustling socio-economic activities and wellbeing.
Bagudu spoke when he addressed the people of Dankolo village in Sakaba Local Government of the state after attack on their communities.
He said the issue of security was a collective responsibility even as he urged the people of the state to shun disseminating fake news. In his words, “the people should also offer credible intelligence to the various security agencies with a view to nipping crimes and criminality”.
The Governor commended the various religious and traditional leaders as well as the security agencies for their uncommon and invaluable efforts in promoting peace and security. Bagudu also appealed to the various vigilantes, youths and voluntary groups to sustain their efforts on bolstering security in the State.

Chairman of Sakaba Local Government Council appreciated the efforts of the Governor in providing security and succour for internally displaced persons, IDPs.
He announced that the Governor donated N30 million in addition to two trailer-load of rice for distribution to IDPs to cushion their hardship.
