Babijide Sanwoolu Innaugurates Lagos Blue Rail Line

Lagos State Governor BabaJide Sanwo-Olu Wednesday inaugurated the Physical Infrastructure completion of the Blue Rail line as part of efforts to ease the transport system in the state.

The multi-billion Naira Blue and Red rail project on completion will run from Amuwo- Odofin in Ojo Local government Area to Marina on Lagos Island while the red line system would run from Ikeja on the mainland to Marina on the Island.

Governor BabaJide Sanwo-Olu in his address at the National Theatre Blue line station, Iganmu explained that the project is in line with the infrastructure development of the state.

According to Governor Sanwo-Olu, the physical completion of the project will be done by the end of the 2022.

He explained that the state government was on track in its efforts to complete works on both the blue and Red Rail lines.

The Blue line rail he explained would be running on electric tracks. He warned citizens to keep off the train lines and not to walk on it.
