Four Kidnapped Kogi Poly students freed in Ondo

Kogi State

Four female students of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja who were abducted on Christmas eve, have regained their freedom.

They were kidnapped around Kabba/Akunnu highway in Akoko north west Local Government area of Ondo state Last Saturday.

The released students are Obadero Florence, Aregbesola Oreoluwa, Ahmed Ifeoluwa, Olarotimi Omotoyosi and the driver Monday Momodu.

A former Majority Leader in Akoko northwest local government, soji Ogedengbe who is from the area broke the news and confirmed that all the victims were released on Tuesday night.

The students with the commercial bus driver celebrated Christmas in the kidnappers’ den.

Meanwhile unconfirmed reports say an undisclosed amount of money was paid as ransom for release of the victims.
