Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has given the management of Tribune newspapers twenty-four hours to retract a false publication made against him, claiming that he has withdrawn his support for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu.

The Publication which was made on the front page of the Tribune on Sunday caused outrage among the supporters of the APC in Kogi State, a development the Governor said he would not take lightly

“This headline, conspicuously published on the front page of Sunday Tribune newspaper that Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has withdrawn his support for the candidate of the All-Progressives Congress in the 2023 presidential election, Bola Tinubu, caused outrage among party supporters in Kogi State on Sunday”

The man in charge of youth mobilization for the APC, Governor Yahaya Bello described the report as misleading and malicious.

Yahaya Bello has demanded an immediate apology from Tribune, otherwise, he will take legal action against the newspaper.

Yahaya Bello reassured the APC of his unflinching support for the party and the candidate, adding that his strength among the youth demography is already sending fear to the enemies who are threatened by his capacity.

This publication is coming after another publication by Sahara Reporters, suggesting that Yahaya Bello is forming an alliance with the PDP, a story the state described as fake.
