The Abia State Inter-Ministerial Committee on Covid-19 has sealed off a church as well as the electronic plaza at the Ariaria International Market, in Aba, for going against the directives of the State Government.
Committee Chairman and Secretary to the State Government, Chris Ezem, who led the team, visited some churches in the city, the Central Mosque along Hospital Road and the popular Ariaria International Market.
He expressed worry over the level of non-compliance with Covid-19 prevention and control guidelines issued by the State Government by residents of the commercial city appealing to them to take the fight against the disease seriously.
