The recent flash floods in some parts of Adamawa State has prompted the people to question the level of preparedness of the government to avert the perennial floods that claim lives and properties in the past years.
They called on the Federal Government, through the Ecological Fund Office to intervene to bring succour to the areas persistently experiencing flooding.
The recent downpour which submerged property in some communities like Yolde Pate, Jambutu, Saminaka, and dDu did not record any loss of lives.
However, the people are living in fear, due to the probability of the intensity of rainfall, especially in the coming month of August.

They called on the State Government to match words with action on rechanneling the sources of water that usually cause the havoc.
The Government on its part said it has created a Ministry of Rehabilitation, Reconstruction, Reintegration, and Human Services, to provide intervention in situations, such as flooding.
