Hundreds have been displaced while the number of causalities is yet to be ascertained in a communal clash between in Tingno community of Lamurde Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri who visited the community to assess the level of destruction has sued for peace.
Fintiri arrived the community when there were still sounds of gunshots and some of the houses still in flames.
Residents say, the crisis started Thursday evening with houses burnt and hundreds of people displaced.
The Governor who said the cause of the crisis is not yet known however said preliminary information shows that it started as a result of arguments by some youths, which later escalated into violence.
Fintiri ordered his convoy to immediately evacuate the victims to a safer environment.
He assures the displaced persons that the government will take care of them.
Tingno community is known for its massive rice production.
The Governor has called on the people to sheath their sword and promote peaceful coexistence
The State Police Commissioner, Olugbenga Adeyanju says, security has been beefed up in the area.
