Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has announced the prohibition of movement of cattle within cities and highways in the state
The Governor issued the directive on Monday at an interactive meeting with the leadership of Hausa, Fulani, and Ebira communities in Ondo state following the increasing cases of kidnapping in the state.
He also directed that all reserves in the state be vacated by herdsmen within the next seven days with effect from Monday, January 18, 2021.

Akeredolu said that as the Chief Security Officer of the state, it is his constitutional obligation to do everything lawful to protect the lives and property of all residents of the state.
