Sensitive electoral materials for the November 6, governorship election in Anambra State have left the strong vaults of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, in Awka.
The distribution of the materials is coming barely 48 hours away to the polls with heavy security escorts accompanying them to their respective locations across the 21 council areas.
INEC National Commissioner in-charge of Information, Voter Education and Publicity Committee, Festus Okoye told journalists at the premises of the CBN that the electoral body has put every necessary measures in place to ensure a hitch free exercise.

The materials released to the 21 Council Areas include the Voter register, ballot papers as well as the Bi-modal voter accreditation system, BIVAS.
In a separate development, a meeting with Media Practitioners and representatives of the Civil Society Organizations, both the Deputy Inspector General of Police, DIG Zaki Ahmed in-charge of Operations and Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, advocate for a better synergy and collaboration with Stakeholders to achieve a hitch free election.
