Human rights lawyer, Femi Falana says the All Progressives Congress, APC has failed to deliver on its campaign promise to restructure the country and practice true federalism, despite spending 5 years in power.
Falana, who stated this while delivering a lecture in Akure, the Ondo State capital, says though the road to federalism has been rough, there is need to actualise the true letter and spirit of the Nigerian Constitution.

At the lecture titled “The Nigerian federalism imbroglio: A pragmatic approach”, Falana says the practice of true federalism is the only panacea in resolving the various development challenges facing Nigeria.
Falana who frowned that the power vested in the state and local governments have been tampered with said there is need for devolution of powers from the federal level.
He tasked State Governors to device means of creating wealth rather than going to the nation’s capital to share allocation every month.
