Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State has announced a donation of N100m to widows of fallen heroes as fund for small and Medium Scale Enterprises.
Governor Emmanuel who made the donation at the wreath laying ceremony in Uyo, the state capital to round off activities marking the Armed Forces Remembrance Day said it was time for all to work the talk on the welfare of members of the Nigerian legion.
While paying glowing tribute to the fallen heroes, Gov. Emmanuel said the event should not only be about speech making but also about supporting the welfare of those still in active service and dependants of fallen heroes.

The governor urged all and sundry to desist from acts capable of heightening political tension in the country.
The event witnessed the traditional release of pigeons, gun salute, and colourful parades.
