Edo State joined her counterparts across the country to mark the 2021 Armed Forces Remembrance Day.
The Governor Godwin Obaseki called on citizens to join hands with the security agencies to enable them overcome the security challenges in the country.
Governor Obaseki led other top government functionaries to lay wreaths in honour of soldiers who laid their lives while fighting for the unity of the nation at the Musuem ground of the Oba Ovoranmwen Square in Benin City.
He maintained that the sacrifices made by the fallen heroes and the role of the military in the sustainability of peace in the country cannot be overemphasised.
