Gunmen suspected to be terrorists have attacked Fobor Community in the Jos East Council Area of Plateau State, killing five people, while one person was abducted.
An eyewitness, Abok Izang, said the attackers stormed the community in large numbers on motorcycles in the early hours of Friday, while it was raining and went to shoot sporadically at the Vigilante Post.
Izang said sounds of gunshots alerted the residents who quickly mobilized and chased them away.

The terrorists were, however, able to abduct one Haruna Ajik at the nearby Fusa Village.
When contacted, the Police spokesman, Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP Alfred Alabo, confirmed the incident and said those killed have been taken to the mortuary, while Police have taken over the entire community to avoid escalation of tension.
