Bauchi state government has concluded arrangements to procure fifty operational vans for all the security agencies in the state.
The commissioner for finance, Umar Adamu, disclosed this while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the end of the year state executive council meeting in Bauchi.
The end of the year 2020 state executive council meeting came with the swearing-in of some special advisers, presided over by the Bauchi state governor, Bala Mohammed.
Shortly after the meeting, the commissioner for finance, Umar Adamu, said that council approved the purchase of about fifty units of security vehicles, aimed at ensuring the security of lives and property of the citizenry, as the cardinal objective of every responsible government.

The commissioner for agriculture, Samaila Burga, said government has since engaged some teaming unemployed youths from the state on integrated agriculture, to enable them become self reliant.
The agric. commissioner added that the government has approved the constitution of a high-powered committee, to look into the issue of the distribution of fertilizer, ahead of the 2021 farming season.
On his part, the commissioner for works and transport, Abdulkadir Ibrahim, said the council approved the construction of over one kilometre of Tambari Housing Estate road, linking the area with the newly constructed over 16 kilometre Sabon Kaura Jos Road.
