Experts in the field of Islam have been called upon for Regular update and Remodeling of the Almajiri System Of Education inoder to address child molestation and Out of School Children in the state.
They made the call during the two day capacity building and training for selected Islamic Schools teachers in Bauchi State North East Nigeria.
Bauchi state is identified as one of the states with the highest number of out of school children and Islamiyya System of Education as most children are found in either Tsangaya or Islamiyya schools rather than formal education.
These forms the decision of the Bauchi state government through the office of the first lady Aisha Bala Mohammed in collaboration with the Islamic centre for peace building, research and development Under the Chairmanship Of Chief imam National Mosque Abuja Professor Ibrahim Maqari to Organise a two day capacity building and training for Islamic School Teachers aimed at addressing the challenges facing the system.

Declaring the event open Bauchi state governor Represented by the secretary to the state government Barrister Ibrahim Kashim says the government is concerned with the state of both formal and nonformal system of education promising to support the transformation agenda of the system.
Other Speakers at the ceremony commended the organisers of the training, saying it is timely, considering the many challenges facing Almajiri System Of Education in the state and called for concerted efforts to address the challenges.
The two day capacity building training has as its theme ” Revitalisation and Transformation of Tsangaya and Islamiyya System Of Education and it attracted participants from the twenty local government areas of Bauchi state.
