Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, says his administration will not condone any act of lawlessness aimed at destabilizing the peace and progress of the state.
Governor Diri was speaking to reporters as he inspected the level of damage on public and private properties destroyed in Yenagoa after the Supreme Court judgement of February 13, 2020, that declared him the duly elected Governor on of the state.

It was a busy day for the Governor while visiting homes and buildings attacked by aggrieved youths in the state capital.
The places visited included the house of former Governor Seriake Dickson, the Bayelsa High Court Complex where generators were set ablaze, and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP State Secretariat Complex.
Other places are the Steve Azaiki Library, the State-owned Radio Station, and other private buildings.
Governor Diri, who was saddened at the loss of properties in the state, called on the people to work with him for the progress of the state.
He, however, warned that any act of lawlessness and inciting statements capable of igniting crises would not be tolerated and perpetrators dealt with.
