The Bayelsa State government has assured the Nigerian Army of its support to combat Kidnapping, pipeline vandalism, oil bunkering and other criminality in the State.
Receiving the General Officer Commanding six division of the Nigerian Army, Major General Felix Agugo who paid him a courtesy visit in Yenagoa the state capital, Deputy Governor Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo called on the Nigerian Army to also forestall the proliferation of small arms and light weapons in the state.
He urged the military to be more professional in carrying out their constitutional duties to avoid unnecessary casualties during operations

Major General Felix Agugo who is on a familiarization tour to states under his jurisdiction says the collaboration will help to improve civil-military relations in the State.
The GOC six division of the Nigerian Army, oversees four states in the Niger Delta Region namely, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers and Akwa-Ibom.
