The search for their first three points of the season by FC One Rocket of Akwa Ibom in the ongoing Nigeria National League continued, following their 2-1 defeat by Bayelsa United FC.
Two quick successive goals from Favour Martins and Okardi Inikurogha overtuned the earlier goal scored by the visiting FC One Rocket.
The Nigeria National League debutant FC One Rocket of Akwa Ibom are playing for the first time against Bayelsa United, since the club was established in 2019.
Reckless hard tackles by both teams overshadowed the style of play in most parts of the first half but goalkeeper Issiaka Ogubiye of Bayelsa United and Anyanwu Ogochukwu of Fc One Rocket made crucial saves to end the first forty-five minutes in a statement.

Abah Abel dazzled defender Ebedebiri Endurance before he curled the ball beyond the reach of the home team shot-stopper to set the game alive in the 64th minute, a twin foul on Emo James and Okardi Inikurogha resulted in a spot-kick in the 66th minute before mercurial midfielder, Favour Martins converted it to put the score line at one all.
Four minutes later, Favour Martins took the defenders of the visiting team on a solo run before his shot eventually hit the goal post and was deflected into the net of Orkadi Inikurogha who sealed the victory for the coach Diepreye Teibowei tutored side.
Bayelsa United will take their three matches unbeaten-form to Nnewi where they will slug it out against the relegation threatened Godosky of Anambra State.
