The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Chairman of Michika Local Government Area in Adamawa State, Lawan Andimi abducted by Boko Haram insurgents during an attack on some communities in Michika and Madagali in early January, has been reportedly killed by his abductors.
He was abducted when Boko Haram attacked the communities in search of food and petroleum products in the two communities. Adamawa State CAN Chairman, Dami Mamza, told journalists that the terrorists who demanded 2 million euros, had rejected an offer of N50 million ransom.
The State CAN Chairman, also confirmed to AIT that, the insurgents called the wife of the Michika CAN Chairman last week, informing her that they will be beheading her husband on Saturday, but waited till Monday, to execute the inhuman act.

Dami Mamza decried the rate at which clergymen in the State are being killed. Just on Monday, a pastor was killed by unknown gunmen in his residence.The Adamawa State Government has described the action of the terror group as barbaric.
