Governor Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State says, his administration is set to implement the new salary increase for civil servants, beginning this November.
The announcement came during the commissioning of the rehabilitation of 281.7-kilometre rural roads, across the state.
Governor Umaru Fintiri, however, says the implementation of the new national minimum wage is dependent on the conclusion of the federal government’s discussions on its consequential effects.
Fintiri says he has directed the Adamawa State Head of Service, Edgar Amos, to ensure that the process for civil servants in the state to get their new minimum wage in the month of November, is completed.
