The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 31 new Covid-19 related deaths with the country’s death toll now 455. This is the single highest number of deaths to be recorded in Nigeria in one day since the index case in February
A total of 490 new Covid-19 infections have also been recorded in 16 states with the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria jumping to 17,148.
The new infections are in Lagos-142, FCT-60, Bayelsa-54, Rivers-39, Delta-37, Oyo-30, Kaduna-26 and Imo-23. Others include Enugu-19, Kwara-17, Gombe-11, Ondo-10, Bauchi-8, Ogun-7, Borno-6 and Benue-1.

Meanwhile, 274 Covid-19 patients have been discharged across treatment centres in Nigeria with the total number of successfully treated cases rising to 5,623
