Nigeria is gradually inching towards 6,000 Covid-19 cases as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC confirms 338 new infections bringing total number of confirmed cases to 5,959.
The new infections include 177 in Lagos, 64 in Kano, 21 in FCT, 16 in Rivers, 14 in Plateau, 11 in Oyo and 9 in Katsina.
There are 4 new cases each in Jigawa and Kaduna, 3 each in Abia, Bauchi and Borno, 2 each in Gombe, Akwa Ibom and Delta with 1 each in Ondo, Kebbi and Sokoto.

Meanwhile, 122 Covid-19 patients have been discharged as 6 new deaths are recorded across the country.
