There has been a pipeline explosion resulting in a raging fire at Ekoro road in Abule Egba area of Lagos State, South-West Nigeria.
The explosion occurred on Sunday evening and is said to be as a result of the activities of pipeline vandals who ruptured a petroleum pipeline in the area.
The Lagos State Emergency Response Agency, LASEMA, confirmed the incident and said it has activated its emergency response plan.

LASEMA said though its Dolphin Squad was at the Ilepo Bus Stop also in the Abule Egba area battling another fire incident, its officials and other first responders were moving to the Ekoro site for rescue operation.
The level of damage caused by the fire is yet to be ascertained but the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA.
NEMA also confirmed that two dead bodies have been recovered and several articulated vehicles and some buildings have also been destroyed in the inferno.
