Desirous of fast-tracking the targets and mandate of the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the following new appointments in the Parastatals under the ministry.
The Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, in a statement issued by the special adviser to the president on media, Femi Adesina, now have Professor Adeolu Akande (South West) who replaces Senator Olabiyi Durojaiye (South West) as Chairman, Board of Commissioners, Uche Onwude (South East) replaces Senator Ifeanyi Godwin Ararume (South East) as Non-Executive Commissioner subject to senate confirmation.
The National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA, Dr Abubakar Sa’id who replaces Professor Adeolu Akande as Board Chairman while Dr Habibu Ahmed Imam (North West) replaces Dr Lawal Bello Moriki (North West). With Dr Mohammed Sa’idu Kumo as Board Member subject to Senate confirmation. The Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) has Dr Ismail Adebayo Adewusi (South West) who replaces Barrister Bisi Adegbuyi (South West) as Postmaster General/CEO
Galaxy Backbone Limited (GBB) has Professor Muhammed Bello Abubakar replaces Architect Yusuf Kazaure, while the Nigeria Communications Satellite Limited (NigComSat) now have Architect Yusuf Kazaure who replaces Dr George Nnadubem Moghalu as Board Chairman, while Dr Najeem Salam replaces Hon. Samson Osagie as Executive Director, Marketing and Business Development. Professor Abdu Ja’afaru Bambale replaces Kazeem Kolawole Raji as Executive Director, Technical Services while Hadi Mohammed replaces Mohammed Lema Abubakar as Executive Director, Administration.
