Unconfirmed reports say the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN has shutdown the payment platform of fast rising business management solution company, Flutterwave to cripple the ongoing nationwide #ENDSARS protests
The protest which called for scrapping of the dreaded anti-robbery squad, SARS and total reform of the policing system in Nigeria due to several reported cases of extortion, bribery, illegal search, unlawful arrest and detention of innocent Nigerians
According to online sources, donations have been pouring in from Nigerians within and outside the country, using the Flutterwave platform, in solidarity with the protesters and demanding for accountability from the police and the Nigerian government

A hashtag #FreeFlutterwave was among the top trends on Tuesday with online activists asking the CBN to lift its restrictions on the company.
Though the CBN is yet to officially react to the development, a source in the apex banking regulator who asked not to be named, says the report is not true.
A message sent to CBN’s Corporate Communications Directorate by ait.live is yet to be replied.
