President Muhammadu Buhari has been asked to fulfil his promise of securing Nigerians in the North-East of the country.
The leadership of the Church of the Brethren also known as EYN, says contrary to what the President said in his June 12 Democracy Day broadcast, Boko Haram terrorists are very much active and wreaking havoc in the areas supposedly recovered by the Nigerian military.
While expressing appreciation to President Buhari for the establishment of the North-East Development Commission, the EYN National President, Reverend Joel Billi during a media briefing in Yola, the Adamawa State capital said there are communities yet to liberated.
The EYN claims its records show that over 8,000 of its members have so far been killed by Boko Haram terrorists in the North East while over 700,000 members were displaced and many abducted, with scores of churches either burnt or destroyed.
