The Federal Government has commenced the construction of additional flyover bridges including the interchange at strategic points along the highway To reduce traffic congestion on the Lagos – Ibadan Expressway.
Coordinating Director, Highways Construction and Rehabilitation, Nigeria, Funsho Adebiyi, stated this while inspecting some road projects in the South West zone on Saturday.
He said the first flyover is located at kilometre 16 along the Magboro axis, while the second is about four kilometres away with an interchange in Lotto, Mowe axis.

Adebiyi added that the Federal Government would compensate individuals whose properties will be demolished to pave way for the construction of the new interchange.
