The management of Magret Ekpo International Airport, Calabar says henceforth, all passengers passing through the facility will not only be screened but will also be sensitised on the causes, symptoms and prevention of the deadly Coronavirus.
The Airport Manager, Hilary Umona made this known during a sensitisation and advocacy campaign for passengers and members of the airport Community on Saturday in Calabar.
Umona said the screening and other preventive measures are important due to the speed of spread of the disease across the world, saying Calabar has many nationals of countries affected by the deadly Coronavirus disease.

On her part, the Cross River State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Betta Edu who was on hand to educate the airport community said the aviation facility is a strategic place for screening and continuous advocacy.
Passengers and airport community were also taught how to wash their hands after work, with the simple things required to maintain hygiene in their environment.
