An FCT high Court has granted the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, an order to remand the former Attorney General of the Federation, Mohammed Adoke, for 14 days pending investigation of its case.
In an ex- perte application moved by its counsel, Fatima Mustapha, EFCC told the vacation judge, Justice Othman Musa, that it was necessary for the court to grant the order in other to clarify certain issues in respect of the case.
The former AGF, who has since 2016 been charged with $1.1bn Malabu Oil scam, arrived Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport , Abuja, on Thursday having been held by Interpol in Dubai.
Adoke was earlier arrested in November and detained by the Interpol in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates. He was handed over to the EFCC upon his arrival in Abuja.
