The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arraigned the immediate past Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita, and eight others before the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Oyo-Ita and eight others pleaded not guilty to the 18-count charge leveled against them.

The former Head of the Civil Service of the Federation was granted bail in the sum of N100 million with two sureties, one who must be a level grade level 17 civil servant while the other must be gainfully employed or own properties in like sum.
The court also granted two of the other accused persons, Garba Umar and Ubong Effiok bail in the sum of N50 million, with two sureties who must be resident in Abuja, one of which must own properties in like sum respectively.
The defendants are to report to the EFCC every day for the next seven days until they perfect their bail conditions or be remanded in the EFCC custody if they fail to meet up with the bail conditions.
