The Task Force On Covid-19 in Gombe State says it has so far tested Eleven Thousand Two Hundred And Twenty-One individuals out of which Six Hundred And Eighty-Four are Positive from the virus.
The Task Force confirms it has Sixty-Seven active cases and treated and discharged Five Hundred And Ninety-Four Individuals but sadly lost Twenty, Three individuals, to the virus.
The Chairman of the Task Force Prof Idris Mohammed disclosed this during the press conference where the issues of prevention and safety of the people and students taking their examinations were raised.
A self-assessment on the activities of the task force was reeled out by the chairman of the task force as the emphasis shifts to prevention as the state now experiences low positive cases.
Part of that emphasis is on prevention and enlightenment for the people and students taking examinations.
The Task Force also gave more insights on the workings of state laboratory that would be used to test for covid-19 virus.
The watchword from the task force is caution even with the low positive cases, the COVID-19 virus still remains a pandemic in the state, country and the world at large.
